Ghana @69: President Mahama has done nothing but repeating Dumsor legacy - Kwadaso MP

The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Hon Professor Kingsley Nyarko, has criticized President John Dramani Mahama's administration, stating that he has done nothing but repeat his Dumsor legacy in his second coming.

Speaking at the 69th Independence Day Celebration at Kwadaso, Professor Nyarko said President Mahama supervised one of the worst governments between 2012 and 2016, where Ghana experienced erratic power supply, known as Dumsor, which collapsed businesses.

"The Ashanti Region is experiencing Dumsor again under President Mahama," he said. "The situation is worrying, and I call on the president to sit up. In Ashanti Region, the rate at which power goes off is too much; it seems Dumsor is back."

Professor Nyarko noted that people thought the president would rectify his flaws, but nothing has changed.

"Under the NPP, we solved the Dumsor conundrum, but the problem is crawling back under Mahama. If Ghanaians fail to tell him the truth, the masses will suffer."

He urged an immediate halt to the current power outages, warning that businesses will suffer if the situation continues.
