  NPP Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA) surprised veteran actor Kwaku Twumasi with gifts and an undisclosed amount of money during a Christmas visit on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. According to COKA, Mr Twumasi is an old friend who supported him in his youthful days.  COKA visited the actor as part of his Christmas visits to loved ones.  Kwaku Twumasi has been battling health issues since suffering a mild stroke over four years ago, leaving him bedridden and with difficulty walking. During the visit, COKA prayed for the actor's recovery and pledged to visit and support him again.  Overcome with emotion, Mr Twumasi thanked COKA for recognizing his past good works and commended him for the support.  "I am very grateful for your visit," he said.

  Residents of Adjamesu in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region have staged a demonstration against the Founder and General Overseer of House of Power Ministry, Prophet Francis Kwarteng, following comments allegedly describing the town as cursed. The protest, which took place on December 30th, 2025, saw angry residents marching through the town to register their displeasure over what they describe as damaging and disrespectful remarks made by the prophet. According to the demonstrators, Prophet Francis Kwarteng allegedly instructed members of his church not to buy food, goods, or services from the people of Adjamesu, claiming the town is cursed. Residents further alleged that some church members were sacked or sanctioned for defying the directive by eating or purchasing items from the town.   Kumasi based Journalists Kwame Agyenim Boateng (OTEC FM) and Elijah Donkor (Opemsuo Radio), alongside benevolent groups, donated Christmas gifts to over 80 widows in Ashanti Region.  The group also visited an orphanage, donating essentials like rice and cloths. The drive, in collaboration with Ebenezer Assemblies of God Church, Dorcas At Bronx New York, NAYAT Herbal Center at Dansoman, Devin Glory Hardware and Decor (Pakyi Number Two), and other benevolent individuals, distributed items worth over 25,000 cedis – including rice, oil, sardines, and toiletries.  "This has gone on for five years, thanks to kind individuals supporting these widows," Kwame Agyenim Boateng said, thanking stakeholders.
