Kwadaso Marks Ghana’s 69th Independence with Call for Unity and Development
The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has marked Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebration in grand style with a call on citizens to contribute meaningfully to national development.
The event, held at Ohwimase M/A School on March 6, brought together traditional authorities, assembly members, school children and residents within the municipality to commemorate the country’s independence.
Addressing participants, the Municipal Chief Executive for Kwadaso, Eric Assibey highlighted the progress Ghana has made over the past 69 years, particularly within the Kwadaso Municipality.
He recounted several development initiatives underway in the municipality, including the recent sod-cutting ceremonies for four Senior High Schools aimed at improving access to secondary education in the area.
According to him, the projects form part of efforts to enhance educational infrastructure and other developmental initiatives that are expected to be completed soon to benefit residents.
Honourable Assibey further urged Ghanaians to believe in themselves, remain united and demonstrate maturity in their actions in order to contribute positively to the country’s growth and development.
