SRC Week Celebration : Mama Effe Shares Secrets to Building Strong Relationships with OTEC Students
Renowned radio broadcaster Mrs. Eleonor Effe Amanor, popularly known as Mama Effe, has shared valuable insights with students of OTEC School of Journalism and Communication Studies on handling relationship issues on air and in their personal lives.
Held on Tuesday March 24,2026, the event, part of the school's Students Representative Council's week celebration, brought together dozens of students at the premises of OTEC School of Journalism and Communication Studies.
Mama Effe took the students through her career journey, life struggles, successes, and experiences, offering practical advice on navigating their careers and building strong relationships.
"Relationships are very important in our work, family, and everyday life. Building good relationships can help you grow and succeed in your future careers," Mama Effe emphasized.
She explained that relationships involve being reliable, encouraging one another, showing love, taking action, teaching and guiding others, investing in oneself, being organized, and leaving a good legacy.
Mama Effe urged students to love themselves and avoid spending on partners they are not married to, and to achieve a certain level in life before getting married.
"Before entering a relationship, especially as a man, consider whether you are financially capable of taking care of yourself and your partner," she advised.
The students benefited greatly from the engagement, with many expressing gratitude for the valuable lessons.
