Lands Minister Arma Kofi Buah Lauded for Wildlife Conservation Efforts as Ghana Marks World Wildlife Day

The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Arma Kofi Buah, has received accolades for his efforts to protect wildlife as Ghana joins the global community to mark World Wildlife Day.

Mahmud Kabore, Spokesperson for the Lands Minister, said Hon. Arma Kofi Buah's resilience and passion for protecting the environment is unparalleled.

"Under the good leadership of Hon. Armah Kofi Buah, Legislative Instrument (L.I 2462), which granted the President power to allow activities in forest reserves, has been revoked," Kabore stated on the Kumasi based OTEC FMs afternoon Political show Dwabrem on Tuesday.

This, according to him, is a clear indication that the Minister has not only the environment at heart but also humanity and future generations.

The United Nations World Wildlife Day (WWD) is celebrated annually on March 3 to recognize the unique roles and contributions of wildlife to people and the planet.

This year's WWD theme is "Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Conserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods".

Kabore revealed that the Lands Minister joined a grand durbar marking the day at Abrafo community near Kakum National Park, where stakeholders met to discuss ways to preserve forest cover.

He noted that with Hon. Buah as Lands Minister, all forest covers will be protected.
