Media Summit: Minister Urges Journalists to Showcase Ashanti's Rich Culture and Attractions


 The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has called on journalists to highlight the region's rich history, culture, and tourist attractions to attract investors and create jobs. 


Speaking at the maiden Ashanti Media Summit, Dr. Amoakohene emphasized the importance of balancing accountability reporting with showcasing the region's positive aspects.


"We appreciate journalists holding government accountable, but we also need you to tell the world about our good things," he said.


 "After discussing issues like bad roads, take time to highlight our tourist areas, like Lake Bosomtwe and our waterfalls, and share our historic stories."


The summit, organized by Ashanti Global Festival Heritage and supported by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council and Ghana Journalists Association, brought together media professionals to discuss promoting the region.


The Panel members again  discussed ways to uphold ethics and credibility in journalism


GJA Ashanti Chairman, Mr. Kofi Adu Domfe, stressed the importance of verifying information to maintain credibility, saying it's the currency of media platforms.



He urged journalists to always maintain credibility in the discharged of their duties
