OTEC School of Journalism: EC Opens Nominations For SRC Polls


 The Electoral Commission (EC) of the OTEC School of Journalism and Communication Studies has officially opened nominations for the Students' Representative Council (SRC) positions.


 This marks the beginning of a new leadership era for the school's SRC, as students prepare to elect their new leaders.


The Chairperson of the EC, Prince Owusu Sekyere, announced that nominations opened on Monday and will close on Thursday. 


He revealed that various positions are up for grabs, including SRC President, General Secretary, Organizer, Chaplain, Treasurer, Women's Commissioner, and SRC PRO.


According to Prince Sekyere, aspiring candidates will undergo a vetting process before the final elections, scheduled to take place on March 23, 2026. 


He emphasized that the electoral process will be transparent, ensuring a peaceful and smooth poll.


The EC Chairperson urged interested students to take advantage of the opportunity to contest for a position and serve their colleagues.


 He assured that the commission will work tirelessly to ensure the elections are conducted fairly and efficiently.


The SRC plays a vital role in representing the student body and addressing their concerns. 


The new leadership is expected to champion the welfare and interests of students at the OTEC School of Journalism and Communication Studies.
