President, Lands Minister Have Show Strong Political Will in Galamsey Fight-Mahmud Kabore

The government is determined to win the fight against illegal mining, with strong political will from President John Dramani Mahama and Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Arma Kofi Buah.

Mahmud Kabore, spokesperson for the Minister, says this resolve will drive efforts to protect the environment.

Kabore stated that the government has rolled out pragmatic measures to halt all forms of illegal mining.

"President is bent on protecting the environment, and he's doing so through the Minister who's also working assiduously to ensure the environment is protected," he said in an interview on OTEC FM's Dwabrem show.

Kabore assured that the Ministry will leave no stone unturned in the fight against illegal mining, warning that individuals or groups engaging in the activity will face consequences, regardless of their political affiliation.

"Any individual or group who will engage in illegal mining will not be spared," he warned.
