Access Bank has organized a Media Soiree in Kumasi to reaffirm and strengthen its relationship with journalists in the Ashanti Region.

The Bank also highlighted its years of  support  for Small and Medium Enterprises.

The engagement, held at Lancaster Kumasi City on May 12, 2026, provided a platform for the bank to interact with the media and outline key initiatives, including its environmental and social impact projects such as recycling used car tyres into sandals for students, as well as its financial support schemes for businesses.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director of Access Bank, Pearl Nkrumah, said the bank has the capacity to support SMEs in various ways, including market collections, access to loans, and business development services aimed at helping enterprises grow.

“We offer different forms of financial support ranging from unsecured loans to facilities backed by properties, depending on the needs of clients,” Mrs. Nkrumah explained.

She further disclosed that building the capacity of SMEs remains one of the bank’s major priorities.

“Access Bank is committed not only to financing businesses but also to educating entrepreneurs on how to effectively manage and expand their operations,” she stressed.

Mrs. Nkrumah added that the media remains an important partner in communicating the bank’s programmes and initiatives to the public.

Commenting on the engagement, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Ghana Journalists Association, Mr Kofi Adu Domfe, commended Access Bank for deepening its relationship with the media.

He noted that such interactions enhance collaboration and ensure accurate reporting on financial sector developments.
