NPP Names Adelaide Ntim Co-Chair of Gender & Social Protection Committee as Party Constitutes Standing, Sector Committees

 

The New Patriotic Party has constituted its Standing and Sector Committees, naming Member of Parliament for Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Hon Adelaide Ntim as Co-Chair of the Gender & Social Protection Committee.


The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Executive Committee and National Council held on Thursday, May 7, 2026.


The Standing Committees were constituted pursuant to Article 10(2)(6) of the Party Constitution, while the Sector Committees were constituted in accordance with Articles 10(3)(8) and 14(5).


Other members of the Gender & Social Protection Committee include Dr. Susana Alo as Co-Chair, Grace Akosua Amoabeng and Akosua Manu, known as Kozie, as Spokespersons, and Ama Neerquaye Tetteh as Secretary.


According to the Party, the composition of the Standing and Sector Committees forms part of ongoing efforts, "to strengthen its internal structures, deepen policy development, enhance stakeholder engagement, and reposition the Party for effective political organization and national governance.”


The committees are expected to support the Party’s strategic direction by providing expert guidance and leadership across various sectors and thematic areas.


“The Party congratulates all appointed Chairpersons, Co-Chairs, Secretaries, Spokespersons and Members, and expresses confidence in their ability to discharge their responsibilities diligently and in the supreme interest of the Party and the Republic of Ghana,”the statement said.
